One of the best classroom techniques is to examine how the students enter and as well as leave the classrooms. On the very first day of the school, instruct them about how to enter and leave their classes. Students will accept them if there is a valid reason behind. Once they listen and obey what you say, you can really have a very good time with them. As the students have come in order and arrived at their seats with no noise, you can start the period. The 1st period during the mornings always involve things like: taking down attendance, submitting home work, assignments etc. You need to be sure of how this needs to be done. Tell them well in advance of how they have to submit their home works. For instance, you can have the home works opened up on the desks during the class or it can be submitted before they enter the classroom in the morning.

Give out the instructions directly to the students. It is wrong to think that your students will be under control, once you start the lessons. It is necessary for an educator to know that if his or her students are focused on the subjects or not. If you are consistently making them to learn lessons, then they will start to talk with their neighbors when you begin to teach. It is important that you keep the session interactive as well. Each teacher has a unique way of handling things in the class. The following are some classroom management ideas that can help in managing the class efficiently:

  • Shared Expectations: Help the students on the first day in deciding how they have to behave in classrooms. In this way, you can share their ideas and know if they agree to your views.
  • Consistency: Punishments, rewards and expectations are three things where you have to be consistent with. Sometimes punishments are necessary so that they don’t go beyond their limits. Award the students with rewards. This will motivate them to do even better the next time. In case a student makes use of inappropriate word inside the class by mistake, then instead of yelling on them, be kind and tell them the reason of why not to use such words or give them a warning at first.
  • New Beginnings: Sometimes you might have been in a bad mood and perhaps have taken the lesson very harshly and might have given punishments for no reason at some point, which could have hurt the students. Make them understand why it was so or ask an apology and make a fresh start. This will create a positive energy in the students and learn with excitement.
  • Positive learning Environment: Everyone wishes to learn in a clean and positive environment. This can be achieved by making some colorful charts and hang them up in classrooms. You can even have some plants on the window sill.
  • indoor team building activities : conduct some indoor team building activities at a regular interval.so the co ordination among the students will get tuned.

Hence these things can be followed properly so that you can manage your classes well.
